To improve the living environment and conserve the water quality of public water bodies, including Lake Kasumigaura, the city provides a subsidy for part of the expenses incurred for drainage facility construction to those who carry out construction to discontinue an existing septic tank or pit toilet and connect to the sewerage system or an agricultural settlement wastewater treatment system within areas where sewerage service has begun in Ishioka City or within agricultural settlement wastewater treatment areas.
