Damage caused by the red-necked longhorn beetle, an invasive alien species, is rapidly spreading, mainly among roadside trees and garden trees such as cherry and Japanese plum trees, and may cause secondary damage to surrounding areas.

To help prevent the spread of damage throughout the community by promoting the early felling of damaged trees and appropriate pest control, a portion of the expenses required for these measures will be subsidized.
