Grants are provided for activities that promote regional culture in the Setouchi Inland Sea region, thereby increasing the number of people connected to the region and leading to relocation, settlement, and long-term residence.

Grants are provided for activities that lead to a place that is “good to live in, good to visit, and good to work in,” including the development of agricultural and marine products and food from the Setouchi Inland Sea area; accommodations where visitors can experience the region; the rediscovery and utilization of events and traditions that convey its history, folk culture, and local character; and the conservation and utilization of the natural environment and landscape.
