Amid advancing globalization and the growing tendency of foreign residents living in Japan to settle permanently, grants will be provided for projects promoting multicultural coexistence implemented by local governments, regional international associations, and other organizations, with applications solicited for projects that are particularly important and necessary and that serve as models for other organizations, in order to promote the development of a society in which people with different cultural backgrounds coexist and collaborate.
