At approximately 6:45 AM, a woman walking along the Toyohira River riverbed near Horohira Bridge, located at Minami 16-jo Nishi 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, reported a person collapsed in the river to a nearby police box. Emergency services, including the fire department, swiftly responded to the scene.
Rescue and Confirmation of Death
Rescuers pulled a man, believed to be in his 60s, from the water near the left bank of the river.
