The condolence comes just days after Kirk was a featured speaker at an event hosted by the Sanseito party in Tokyo on September 7th. Kamiya took to X (formerly Twitter) on the 11th to share his grief, posting a photo of himself standing alongside Kirk.

In his post, Kamiya vowed to continue the shared path they had pledged to walk together. "Even if a life is taken," he wrote, "one's will and message can never be taken away. We will surely move forward with the journey we swore to undertake together."
