Honda's New Electric "Kei Wagon" Hits the Market: The N-ONE e: Starts at ¥2.7 Million

September 11, 2025

Honda has officially unveiled its all-new electric kei car, the N-ONE e:, set to go on sale September 12th, offering a blend of iconic Japanese design and modern EV technology at an accessible price point.

Charming Design Meets EV Efficiency

Based on the popular N-ONE gasoline-powered kei wagon, the N-ONE e: retains the beloved "round eyes and square body" aesthetic while incorporating clean EV styling elements. Its design philosophy harks back to Honda's passenger car origins with the N360, emphasizing maximum space for people and minimum space for mechanics (M·M concept).

Specs for Daily Use

The car is pitched as an "e:Daily Partner," perfect for urban living. It features a compact body (3395mm long) and achieves a range of 295km (WLTC mode), making it ideal for daily commutes and errands. It supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. The interior offers a spacious feel with a low, flat floor and versatile seating configurations.

Competitive Pricing

Honda has priced the N-ONE e: competitively, with the G grade starting at ¥2,700,000 and the premium L grade at ¥2,900,000. This positions it as a strong contender in the growing Japanese EV market, offering a familiar and practical package for consumers looking to make the switch to electric.
